Kacey Montoya,our special reporter in Oregon,declared today that Boeing assembly workers in Oregeon,Washington and Kansas rejected the company's contract offer and went on strike.More than 27,000 workers are ready to stop the work,not agreeing the work and payment conditions offered by Boeing's officials.More than 80 percent of the workers voted not to accept the new contracts and start the strike.Kacey Montoya says that the worker's complaints are related to pay,retirement benefits,health care.This is the largest adn the most important strike this year,Boeing expecting $100 million losses every day .a
Kacey Montoya declares that the federal authorities has began the construction for a new $250 million psychiatric hospital,in order to replace the 125 year old Oregeon State Hospital in Salem.Gov. Ted Kulongoski declared o more than 100 people participating at the groundbreaking ceremony that this moment is historic.This decision,as the governor declared to Kacey Montoya , was taken due to the severe problems discovered at the older hospital.
