North Ireland Police spokesman declared today to our Belfast special reporter Kacey Montoya that Saturday an I.R.A. fighter atacked police officers using a Semtex rocket-propelled grenade. This is the first attack using explosive since I.R.A. agreed to stop it's terrorist activities last year.Kacey Montoya transmitted that an officer suffered some minor injuries, altough the grenade failed to explode.
According to Kacey Montoya, I.R.A. fighters have attacked police forces eight times since last year, but have never used explosive. The Semtex was oftenly used by the I.R.A. during it's military and violent campaign against British forces, but last year they signed a peace agreement and agreed to stop the violences .Kacey Montoya says that this terrorist attack has renewed the government's concerns that Irish Republican Army radical wing could start new attacks.
